Stillwater City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Stillwater Municipal Building, 723 S. Lewis St.
Agenda items include:
• Cancellation of the March 22 regular meeting
• Evaluation of bids for the 19th Avenue Boomer Creek bridge project.
• Possible approval of agreements and a resolution to allow the city to refund and re-issue about $8.5 million in bonds issued in 2000 and 2001 in order to take advantage of more favorable interest rates. Financial consultants have estimated the city could save up to $600,000 by refinancing the bonds. The Council authorized financial consultants to refinance the bonds with at a rate with would save the city at least $500,000.
• First reading of an ordinance re-authorizing a fee for emergency 911 services.
• Second reading of an ordinance allowing mobile home parks to house RVs.
Stillwater Utilities Authority Board of Trustees meets Monday following the Stillwater City Council meeting at the Stillwater Municipal Building, 723 S. Lewis St.
Agenda items include:
• Bid recommendations for replacement radios for the supervisory control and data acquisition system as well as a control building for a substation at the Boomer Lake Power Plant.
Payne County Commissioners will hold a regular meeting at 9 a.m. Monday at the Payne County Administrative Building, 315 W. Sixth Ave.
Agenda items include:
• A request to use the Payne County Courthouse lawn from Wheeldock Co. The request is to use the lawn for political activities from a loosely organized group of people in reaction to anti-war protests commonly held on the courthouse lawn.
• Discussion and possible action from a company seeking to provide inmate health care for inmates at Payne County Jail. The county currently performs inmate health care. Commissioners tabled action on a possible agreement in December so further cost comparisons could be made.
• A request to use the Administration Building June 19 for a 4-H show and table-setting contest.
• A presentation from Western Payne County Ambulance Trust Authority member Bill Sasser requesting $4,000 in funds to help pay the salary of a consultant assisting the trust in its efforts to bid ambulance services.
The Payne County Economic Development Authority will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. Monday at the Payne County Administration Building, located at 315 W. Sixth Ave.
Agenda items include:
• Possible action regarding fees for a consultant for the Western Payne County Ambulance Trust totaling $4,000.
