STILLWATER, Okla. — A former Oklahoma State University employee was found guilty of embezzling $80,000 to buy sex toys, electronics and other items.

Cynthia Shirleen Low, 47, was sentenced to 10 years in prison — the last eight years are to be suspended upon good behavior. She was also ordered to pay back the embezzled funds on top of court and incarceration costs.

She will be under probation for two years upon her release.

Low, who worked as senior financial assistant in the OSU chemistry department, resigned in February 2010 after an investigation revealed she had used her university credit card to purchase lingerie, sex toys, clothing, makeup and toiletries, video games and DVDs and jewelry online.
