WHERE: Old Church Center in Oklahoma Territorial Plaza, 780 N. Main, Perkins

Event highlights



1. Hear three-time national fiddle champion Byron Berline and his band, Billy Perry, Jim Fish, Greg Burgess, Richard Sharp and Steve Short, in the historic plaza setting. Berline is returning to Perkins to perform music for the first time since he was 11 years old and played the fiddle for Pistol Pete’s 95th birthday. Berline’s dad was a good friend of Pistol Pete who had heard him play the fiddle at the 101 Ranch.

2. The concert at 7:30 p.m. will include songs from the band’s Grammy Award nominated “Fiddle & A Song” album, which featured guest performances from Vince Gill and Earl Scruggs, to selections from the Beatles.

3. Monica Taylor Johnson will interview the band at 6:45 p.m. followed by a concert warm-up with her friends Don Morris, Jean Williams and Jared Tyler, performing together as the Red Dirt Ramblers at 7 p.m.
