Justin Blackmon scheduled to return to court in Stillwater Tuesday on alcohol charge

STILLWATER, Okla. — Jacksonville Jaguars first-round draft pick receiver Justin Blackmon is scheduled to return to court Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. for a misdemeanor docket.

The former Oklahoma State football player has pleaded not guilty to an aggravated DUI charge after being arrested in June. Blackmon, 22, had been driving an SUV left of the center line at a speed of 60 mph in a 35-mph zone, police contended. The SUV's driver didn't immediately stop for police, but continued about four blocks before pulling into a gas station at McElroy and Perkins roads, police said. Police said Blackmon registered a blood alcohol content of .24 — three times the legal limit.

“I love the high energy stuff,” he said. “Even though it’s country, being able to rock it up, distorted guitars and just seeing the crowd, feeding off of that.”
