STILLWATER, Okla. — A package containing science research equipment valued at $8,739 may have been stolen from the department of plant and soil science at Oklahoma State University, OSU police Capt. David Altman said.
University mailing services delivered 16 boxes to the loading dock on the west side of North Agriculture Hall on Feb. 12. One of the boxes is unaccounted for and could have been stolen from the loading dock, Altman said. The box was discovered missing Feb. 19, but wasn’t reported to police until Thursday.
The missing box contained three microloggers, electronic devices used to record data on environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity over periods of time.
The package also contained a weather-proof enclosure for the microloggers, valued at $307, Altman said.
