ARDMORE, Okla. —
The chairman of the regents governing Oklahoma State University has called for the creation of a task force to ensure that the proper steps are being taken to prevent a scandal like the one at Penn State.
Oklahoma A&M Board of Regents Chairman Andy Lester announced at a meeting Friday that regent Tucker Link will chair the group, which will perform a “comprehensive review” of policies and procedures at Oklahoma State and its affiliated schools.
Lester says the board has a responsibility “to apply the lessons learned from Penn State to strengthen our policies and to communicate clearly with all members of our college and university communities and the citizens of Oklahoma.”
The board oversees Connors State College, Langston University, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and Oklahoma Panhandle State University.
