STILLWATER, Okla. — Lake McMurtry will hold its 2nd Annual Spring Celebration Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the east pavillion. The event is $6 per car and free to Wondertorium members and Lake McMurtry annual pass holders. Elizabeth Armstrong, an intern at Lake McMurtry, talks more about the details.
1 Why does Lake McMurtry hold a spring celebration?
The Spring Celebration is a chance for families and friends to get out to the lake and enjoy what Lake McMurtry and the community has to offer. We simply want to provide fun, healthy, educational opportunities.
2 What activities will be offered for adults?
Red Earth Yoga will be holding free lessons for all participants. Also, District Bicycles, the Red Dirt Pedalers and The OSU Cycling Club will be available. Les Imboden with the Audubon Society will also hold nature walks for all ages. Fingerprinting with the Payne County Sheriff is also available. Stillwater’s local 4H chapter will be represented.
3 What activities will be offered for kids?
Kids will have the opportunity to visit hands-on exhibits from Crystal’s Critters, OSU’s Collection of Vertebrates, talk with pilots from OSU’s Flying Aggies, talk with police officers from Stillwater Police Department, Touch the Truck with LifeNet Stillwater.
4 What are volunteers needed for and how can they sign up?

Participants should wear comfortable clothes and bring their yoga mats, bicycles, binoculars and of course their friends!
