STILLWATER, Okla. —
The Red Rock Fire Department will host its annual calf fry at 5:30 p.m. April 6 at the Frontier School cafeteria.
Secretary and Treasurer Caroline Gum said this is the event’s fourth year. Calf fries, smoked pork, beans, potato salad, cole slaw, rolls and dessert will be served at the all-you-can-eat dinner. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 12. Children under 5 are admitted free.
“We usually do pretty good,” Gum said about attendance.
She said she expects 300 or more to turn out for the event.
The dinner is in partnership with the Tonkawa Masonic Lodge.
“We’ve done it with them since day one,” Gum said. “They match so much of our money that we make.”
The money will go toward fire truck expenses.
“It’s mainly to make sure that we have money for fuel because fuel is so expensive,” she said.
Should inclement weather occur, a storm shelter will be available the day of the dinner.
