STILLWATER, Okla. — Cushing students are leaving school at their regular times and there is no danger, police said. All students are safe and officers will continue to patrol area schools until all students are home.

Friday afternoon, Cushing police officers responded to all local schools after Police Chief Tully Folden received a nonspecific threat.

Officers were joined by Payne County Sheriff's Office and Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Superintendent Koln Knight said after speaking with the Cushing police chief he learned it was a "validated tip" for an external threat.
