Stillwater police offer reward for tips that lead to arrest, conviction of armed robbery suspect

STILLWATER, Okla. — Stillwater police are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man suspected of committing eight armed robberies in Payne County.

The Stillwater Police Department is investigating seven armed robberies that have occurred at various local businesses in Stillwater beginning on Jan. 17. Three of the robberies have occurred at the Git-N-Gallup, 1325 N. Perkins Road. Two have happened at the Approved Cash Advance, 705 E. McElroy Road. One occurred at the On-Cue at Richmond  Road  and Washington Street and one occurred at the Cowboy Corner at West Sixth Avenue and Duck Street. One happened at Family Dollar, 507 E. State Highway 33 in Perkins.

Police believe all the robberies have been committed by the same suspect.

The suspect is described as a black male approximately five-foot, six- inches tall, 140 pounds with short dark hair. Investigators estimate he is in his early to mid-20’s.

In each robbery the suspect produces what appears to be a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspect has worn several disguises including female clothing and wigs. In others, he has worn white medical or athletic type tape to cover his face.

Stillwater police Capt. Randy Dickerson said the department has investigated tips and leads but so far nothing has panned out.

Dickerson asked anyone who spots the suspect to contact the police immediately.
