STILLWATER, Okla. —
At approximately 12:10 p.m. Friday, Stillwater police responded to Approved Cash Advance at 705 E. McElroy Ave. in response to an armed robbery that had just occurred. Employees reported a man entered the business armed with a handgun and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
According to police, the suspect was described as a black male, between 5 feet, 8 inches to 6 feet tall, thin stature with some facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black wig, a red plaid shirt under a black leather-type jacket, black gloves, denim jeans with the cuffs rolled up and red shoes.
This incident and other similar incidents continue to be investigated by the Criminal Investigations Division of the Stillwater Police Department, according to a police department release.
The armed robbery is second time Approved Cash has been robbed and the fourth armed robbery in Stillwater since Jan. 17. Stillwater Police Capt. Randy Dickerson said investigators cannot say for sure that it is the same suspect but that possibility is being looked into.
"There are many consistencies but he is always disguised to a point so we cannot be positive," Dickerson said.
Anyone with any information regarding this crime, or any others, is encouraged to calls the Stillwater Police Department at (405) 372-4171 or the Anonymous Tip Line at (405) 742-8327.
