STILLWATER, Okla. —
A 34-year old Ripley man died in a single-vehicle accident on a county road 1.5 miles north of Ripley early Friday morning, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report issued Saturday morning.
Erick Hall died at the accident scene, which was located on East 68th Avenue 1/10th of a mile west of State Highway 108, according to the report. He sustained massive head injuries. His body was taken to Palmer-Marler Funeral Home.
According to the report, Hall’s 1994 pickup was travelling west on East 68th Ave. The pickup left the two-lane roadway for an unknown reason. It struck an embankment, rolled 1 1/4 times before coming to rest on the passenger said.
Hall, according to the report, was pinned in the wreckage for approximately two hours.

Spokeswoman Calley Herth told The Associated Press that the early tally is based on visual assessments of the extensive damage zone stretching more than 17 miles and the fact that the tornado was on the ground for 40 minutes.
