STILLWATER, Okla. — A Stillwater man is in critical condition after he nearly drowned while hunting in Pawnee County Tuesday morning.
Devon Blaine Smith, 18, was hunting teal near Sooner Lake at approximately 8:30 a.m., according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.
Patrol officers said Smith waded into the water approximately 30 yards from the shore to retrieve the teal when the water became too deep for him.
Two other hunters rescued Smith and performed CPR.
Smith was flown via Air Evac to a Tulsa hospital.
