STILLWATER, Okla. — Elks Lodge  No. 1859, 202 E. McElroy, is hosting a Wine and Palette party from 6-9 p.m. Monday. Lady Elk Kris Duncan said community members are welcome to join the fun.

“You don’t need to be a member to attend,” Duncan said. “We’ll have complimentary snacks and a cash bar open that night.”

Wine and Palette parties are sweeping the country. The events offer social painting classes at various venues for entertainment.

The theme involves providing a professional artist to guide the production of creating a work of art.

No artistic experience is needed and instructors work with first-time painters to master level artists. All materials are provided in the registration fee of $35.

“We wanted to provide a creative outing — another activity for the Stillwater community,” Duncan said. “The artist will lead us in producing a cowboy cross in OSU orange colors.”

During the event, everyone will have a single starting point. Instruction and steps to create the art are given but each painter creates their own individual piece. Even with the guide, it’s a work of art that can be created only by you with each finished product an unique expression of your own personal talent, Duncan said.

Enrollment is limited but spots are still available for the class. Gift certificates are available if you know someone who could use a fun break. Sign up at www.wineandpalette.com. Contact Stillwater Elks Lodge at 405-743-3300 for more information.
