Former Oklahoma State University basketball player Darrell Williams will live in Illinois

STILLWATER, Okla. — Former Oklahoma State University basketball player Darrell Williams has moved to Illinois and will have to register as a sex offender annually for 10 years, according to recently released court records.

He also must enroll in a sex-offender treatment program and seek treatment for at least a year. He also must submit to mental health assessments and polygraph exams.

District Judge Phillip Corley denied William’s request for a new trial last week. He sentenced him to time served and suspended the yearlong sentences for rape by instrumentation and a no sentence recommendation for sexual battery.

A Payne County jury found Williams guilty on July 23. His defense attorney plans to appeal.

Other stipulations include:

• No contact with the victims by correspondence, telephone or a third part. He also cannot enter, travel past or loiter near where the victims reside, work or go to school.

• Can’t live with, contact or attempt to establish contact with anyone under 18 not related by blood or marriage witihout approval of his probation officer.

• Can’t loiter near schools, schoolyards, parks, playgrounds, arcades, swimming pools or other places primarily used by children without approval of probation officer.

• Can’t be employed or participate in volunteer activities where he will be in contact with children under 18.

• Must register as a sex offender with local law enforcement wherever he lives, and must must submit a DNA profile within 30 days of registration.

• Can’t change residences without prior approval of probation officer and must notify probation officer of any change of employment.

• Can’t have any erotic material or go to strip clubs, topless bars or adult stores. Also cannot use erotic telephone services.

• Cannot use computers to access child pornography or have innapropriate contact with children.

• Must abide by any curfew or additional restrictions imposed by probation officer.

• Cannot hitchhike or pick up hitchhikers.

• Waives all client/therapist or client/physician privacy for treatment programs or medical treatment.

• If requested by treatment program, must submit to an assessment including PPG, Abel screening or polygraph tests to assist in treatment, planning or case monitoring.

• Must authorize shared communication amongst law enforcement branches regarding compliance with programs and laws.
