BREAKING NEWS: Cushing voters approve school-bond iusse

STILLWATER, Okla. — A new middle school and numerous districtwide school improvements are coming to Cushing Public Schools.

Voters approved a $39.7 million bond issue Tuesday by a solid margin as 686 people voted for the bond and 412 people voted against it.

School bond issue elections require 60 percent approval to pass. The Cushing bond received 62.5 percent approval from voters.

“I appreciate people willing to invest in our school system and the future of our community,” Cushing Superintendent Koln Knight said.
