Stillwater Police: Injured cyclist wasn't wearing helmet

STILLWATER, Okla. — An motorcyclist injured in a Monday afternoon traffic accident was not wearing a helmet, according to the Stillwater Police Department.

Stillwater Police, Fire and LifeNet responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 900 block of East Sixth Avenue at approximately 3 p.m. Monday involving a  sports utility vehicle and a motorcycle, according to the police

The motorcyclist pulled out of a private drive and into the SUV's path, a preliminary investigation revealed.

n EagleMed helicopter responded and the motorcyclist was flown to OU Medical Center with multiple injuries, according to a press release.

A Stillwater Police Department accident reconstructionist took over the accident investigation, which is still pending.

The identity of the motorcyclist has not been positively determined, according to the release.
