Two teenage girls killed in wreck on State Highway 51 Friday morning

STILLWATER, Okla. —     Two Oklahoma City teenagers died in a wreck on State Highway 51, east of Interstate 35 Friday morning.

    According to an accident report, Dajia La Nae Brown, 17, and Carla Duenez, 17, both from Oklahoma City and driver Michael Andrew Reed, 29, of Perkins, were traveling west on Highway 51 when their vehicle struck a van that was disabled and in the road on the westbound side at approximately 1 a.m. Friday. The van, driven by Sofia Gabrielson, 16, of Oklahoma City, was being pushed by three men — Bobby Knifehawk Johnson, 20, of Pawnee, Jonas Pena, 16, of Oklahoma City and Peter Martinez, 17, of Oklahoma City.

    Brown and Duenez died at the scene from head and trunk internal injuries. Reed was transported to Stillwater Medical Center and was treated and released with an arm injury.

    Gabrielson was transported by helicopter to OU Medical Center in serious condition with a head injury. Johnson and Martinez were taken to Stillwater Medical Center. Johnson was treated and released with a leg injury. Martinez was treated and released with trunk and external injuries. Pena was not injured.

    Troopers Darren Potter and Ian Rozier were on scene along with LifeNet, Stillwater Fire Department and Eagle Med.

    According to the report, the cause of the collision hasn't been deteremined. The investigation is continuing.
