Stillwater Medical Center Authority board finalizes clinic transition plans

STILLWATER, Okla. — Many Stillwater Medical Center employees will be “camping out” at the Warren Clinic Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

At the Stillwater Medical Center Authority Board of Trustees meeting Tuesday, trustees discussed the transition of the Warren Clinic to the new Stillwater Medical Physicians Clinic. Denise Weber, vice president of administrative services at Stillwater Medical Center, said the transition continues to go smoothly.

“We are going to spend the weekend camped out over there (Warren Clinic),” Weber said. “We will be converting data, training the employees and hooking up phone and fax lines.”

The two IT departments, Weber said, met and talked about the phone and fax services and then she talked about “Plug in Play.”

“Plug in Play” means the phone and fax numbers will be the same, and Stillwater Medical Center will be able to plug in its equipment as soon as Saint Francis unplugs its equipment. This way, service and fax items still willl be received during the closure, Weber said.

The Stillwater Medical Physicians Clinic will open Monday and the Stillwater Medical Center wants residents to know the Warren Clinic will be closed all-day Friday, Saturday and Sunday as it continues with the final phases of the transformation.

Trustee Calvin Anthony praised the transition on how it has gone and the people who are making it happen.

“I want to compliment the staff here and there for cooperating,” Anthony said. “There will be some rough spots, but if it gets done like it has gone, it will be a complement to the organization.”
