STILLWATER, Okla. — 4 What is Man of La Mancha about?

It’s based both on the novel Don Quixote and the life of its swashbuckling author Miguel Cervantes. It’s set in a dungeon during the Spanish Inquisition, Cervantes is a prisoner, and he acts out Don Quixote’s story as a way to prove his innocence to his fellow prisoners. The memorable song “Dream the Impossible Dream” is from this musical.



5 How much are tickets and how can they be purchased?

Tickets are $15 general admission and $12 for students and seniors, but we ask everyone to spend $15 so $5 can go to the schools. Call 744-6094 to reserve or buy a ticket. Information is on the website: theatre.okstate.edu. Staff at the junior high and middle school also have tickets for sale.
