Police hunting for suspect in weekend robbery

STILLWATER, Okla. — Stillwater police are searching for an individual suspected of being involved in an armed robbery Friday evening.

According to police, a suspect approached a clerk at Cowboy Corner on Duck Street. The suspect displayed a black semi-automatic handgun tucked into his waistband under his coat.

According to police activity logs, the suspect took $260. A statement released by by police on Monday said the clerk gave him an undisclosed amount of money.

Police described the suspect as a 5-foot, 10 inch black male wearing a black pea coat, tight fitting beanie hat and gloves. His hair was described as straight and long with curly tips. The front portion of his hair was black with streaks that appeared to have been bleached, giving it a reddish color, according to a release..

According to police there were several customers in and around the store at the time of the robbery. Police are encouraging witnesses or those with information about the suspect to contact the Stillwater Police Department at 405-372-4171 or call the anonymous tip line at 405-742-8327.
