Stillwater police investigating Tuesday stabbing

STILLWATER, Okla. — Stillwater police arrested a man suspected of stabbing his former roommate.

According to police,  shortly before midnight Tuesday, police responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon at 821 N. Main. Officers were advised by dispatch that the suspect was still there with a knife.

Officers found the victim conscious with three stab wounds to his chest. According to police, the suspect admitted to stabbing the victim during a fight and the victim admitted he charged the suspected. They are former roommates, a release by police shows.

The victim was transported to Stillwater Medical Center with life-threatening wounds and later transported to OU Medical Center.

The suspect was arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Court records show he has not been charged as of Friday.
