PERKINS, Okla. —
Perkins police arrested a man suspected of following a woman from Stillwater to her home in Perkins and robbing her at gunpoint.
According to Perkins police records, the victim told officers a vehicle followed her from a grocery store in Stillwater all the way to her home in Perkins.
She told police the passenger got out, walked briskly toward her and told her while pointing a large black pistol to give him her things.
The suspect took her purse which contained her phone, checkbook, a tablet, keys and a small amount of cash, an affidavit shows.
After dispatch was advised what the suspects and their vehicle looked like, a Payne County sheriff’s deputy stated he had pulled a similar vehicle over for having a tail light out.
Using information from the traffic stop the driver was contacted and questioned. Police records show he admitted to being involved in the robbery.
The purse and gun were recovered.
One suspect has been arrested, Perkins Police Chief Bob Ernst said. Police are seeking an arrest warrant for the driver.
