STILLWATER, Okla. — A man was injured on Union Road three miles east of Stillwater after striking a tree with his pickup truck, Monday evening. He was treated by paramedics at the scene.
A highway patrol officer at the scene said the driver told him he was travelling down the gravel road when he spotted a small dog-like animal in the roadway.
He was not wearing a seatbelt, the trooper said. He did not say what sort of injuries the driver had but the driver was conscious and alert when taken by stretcher into an ambulance.
