STILLWATER, Okla. — Approximately 1,100 residents in Payne, Noble, Logan and Garfield counties have electricity again after crews fought against mud to make repairs.
The repairs were complete at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday said Central Rural Electric Cooperative spokesman Jeff Joiner.
The majority of outages occurred in Garfield, Noble and Logan counties. Only 160 customers were without power in Payne County, said Joiner.
Six power line poles were damaged from heavy snow and high winds. Joiner said the large amount precipitation and subsequent warm weather created thick mud, making it difficult for repair trucks to get to some sites.
