Two Stillwater stores robbed by wig-wearing suspect Tuesday night

STILLWATER, Okla. — Police are hunting for a suspect who robbed two convenience stores at gunpoint Tuesday night while wearing a women's wig and black slippers.

Git-N-Galup at 1325 Perkins Rd. and On Cue at 5000 N. Washington St. were  robbed.

Stillwater police Capt.  Randy Dickerson said police believe the robberies are related to several other similar robberies that have occurred in recent months.

In Tuesday's robberies, the suspect was described as a 5 foot, 9 inch black male wearing a woman's style wig, black-hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans rolled up to the calf and black slippers. He used a black semi-automatic handgun, police said.

According to police, several customers were shopping in each store during the robberies. Police urge anyone with information to contact them at 405-372-4171 or use the anonymous tip line 405-742-8327.
