UPDATE: Construction worker fell from roof at Will Rogers Elementary

STILLWATER, Okla. — A construction worker was injured Monday when he fell off the roof of the new Will Rogers Elementary School, 1211 N. Washington St.

Construction manager of Lambert Construction Gregg Bradshaw said information is still being gathered.

"We are still putting together the details and taking statements from any witnesses that were present this morning," he said.

However, what is known is that the worker was an employee of Bloyer & Sons, Inc., a roofing company from Winfield, Kan.

"He did fall off the roof and did land on a soft mound of soil on the ground," he said. "He was conscious and moving all extremities when he left the site."

Stillwater police, the Stillwater Fire Department and LifeNet responded to the incident. Bradshaw said the worker is undergoing tests at Stillwater Medical Center. Bradshaw said he is awaiting the owner of Bloyer & Sons, Inc. to arrive in Stillwater so the two can meet.
