STILLWATER, Okla. —
Brandon Michael Ray Thompson is charged with lewd proposals to a child and possession of marijuana.
An 11-year-old and a 14-year-old told police a man with multiple tattoos and wearing baggy pants and a hooded sweatshirt approached them as they were walking home from City of Cushing Memorial Park, an affidavit shows.
The girls said the man began asking questions about how old they were, their names and where they lived. He then asked if they drank beer and like to perform sexual acts.
The man then asked several times if they wanted to meet with him at the park or his home the next day. The girls told police they dodged the questions, hoping he would get the hint that they were not interested in meeting with him.
The 14-year-old told police the man continued to talk for several minutes but she could not make out what he was saying because she was scared and worried about the safety of herself and her sister, the affidavit shows.
The man then asked if he could walk the girls home and they told him that their father would not approve of that or them meeting with him.
Police contacted Thompson in the area shortly after as he matched the girls’ description.
Thompson told officers the girls were both 18 and he had asked them about drinking but not sex acts. He said they were liars.
During his arrest, police found a leafy green substance in Thompson’s pocket that he said was tobacco but later it tested presumptive positive for marijuana.
