STILLWATER, Okla. —
A clerk at a local sandwich shop refused to comply with demands from a Stillwater man who attempted to rob the business Wednesday.
According to court records, Subway employee Patrick Dickens was working his shift at 908 W. Sixth Ave. when John Wilmer Rainey, 47, approached him and told him to “give me the money in that” while pointing at the cash register.
Dickens refused to do as Rainey said. The court records state Rainey went to the door of the Subway to manipulate the front door lock.
Rainey was arrested and is charged with second-degree attempted robbery. He is being held on $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
