STILLWATER, Okla. — Former Oklahoma State University basketball player Darrell Williams won't get a new trial. He won't spend any additional time in jail or prison either.
The defense attorneys' motion for a new trial was denied but Williams, 23, saw the remainder of his 1-year sentence suspended and he was set free. He will have to register as a sex offender and pay court costs.
His attorney Cheryl Ramsey, supporter Brandi Miner-Robertson and Williams' aunt expressed dissapointment with the court's ruling.
