Armed robbery suspect arrested in Stillwater

STILLWATER, Okla. — A Stillwater woman, 39, was charged in Payne County District Court Tuesday on three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Bail has been set at $300,000 for Carmen Eldonna Richardson who was arrested Monday at a Stillwater restaurant. She remains in Payne County Jail.

Stillwater police Sgt. David Duncan and officers Brett Moore and Newly McSpadden identified and apprehended Richardson in a restaurant on Perkins Road.

Richardson is accused of using a knife to rob  E-Z Payday Loans, Wyndham Garden Hotel and Approved Cash Advance.

Police released a video from hotel security cameras showing a woman fitting Richardson’s description entering the hotel.

On Oct. 25, a woman used a knife to rob Wyndham Garden Hotel staff. She fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police believe the same suspect committed a similar armed robbery Saturday at E-Z Loan on Perkins Road and Approved Cash Advance on McElroy Road. A person fitting the same description wearing a dark shirt over a light shirt and dark pants produced a knife and demanded money. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured in the robberies.
