CUSHING, Okla. — Cushing police have been placed at all schools in the city after an anonymous threat  was called into a tip line.

According to Cushing dispatcher Rick Thompson there have been no incidents. He did not know the exact nature of the threat.

Superintendent Koln Knight said after speaking with the Cushing police chief he learned it was a "validated tip" for an external threat.

Knight said schools would release several minutes early. He said police would remain at the schools until all the schoolchildren have gone home with their parents.
