STILLWATER, Okla. —
Stillwater Emergency Management Technician Rob Hill said damage from Wednesday night's storms is being accessed and there was scattered damage throughout town.
"At the moment no homes have been reported destroyed, just roof damage and limbs blocking roads," Hill said. The city has several street and electric crews working alongside Parks and Recreation crews to move storm debris, h e said. Tree trim removal companies and line crews are also working together, Hill said.
He said Oklahoma State University sustained light damage, but it's too early to tell what the cost of repairs will be.
The area around Stillwater High School was out of power Wednesday night and tree limbs were on area streets.
He identified areas around Perkins and Redbud and Perkins and McElroy as two places with the most significant damage includingd power outages and tree limbs down.
There is "minor flooding" from Manning and McElroy up to Sunrise, he said.
Damage reports:
Washington and Eskridge, a large tree was blocking the intersection.
Some businesses on the strip have reported power outages.
1200 Block of North Lincoln a tree has fallen on power lines.
Lincoln and Will Rogers, a tree has fallen on a house.
Lakeview and Park a barricade was needed for flooding but will soon be removed.
Harmon and Main area has numerous trees down.
200 block of West Hall of Fame and the Git n Gallop on 1300 N. Perkins is said to be without power.
900 N. Boomer experienced a blown transformer.
Hill said surrounding towns have not called for assistance and he believes Stillwater took the brunt of the storm damage.
