Multi Arts Center opens Holiday Gallery

STILLWATER, Okla. — Local and regional artists are displaying original art work and high quality crafts in the Multi Arts Center Holiday Gallery. Although the gallery is open year round, the center has expanded the gallery and stocked the foyer and entrance with an overflow of selections from large paintings to stocking stuffers.

Multi Arts Center Director Bill Miller said a call for entries was made earlier in the fall and the selections received are exceptional.

“All selections are for sale and represent diverse media,” Miller said. “We are dedicated to education and outreach to promote the arts and artists combining opportunities to create, explore and display work in the gallery.”

The Multi Arts Center has a gallery review committee where artists must submit digital images of the works to be displayed. Artists are responsible for pricing their own work with 35 percent donated to the nonprofit center.

Many of the artists are instructors or have taken classes at the Multi Arts Center where they have developed their skills.

Billie Crouch drove from Tulsa to attend the opening of the gift gallery.

“I wouldn’t miss it,” she said. “I come every year to pick up unique items and just marvel at the creations because I can’t buy it all.”

The Multi Arts Center, 1001 S. Duck, is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
