STILLWATER, Okla. —
The Multi Arts Center Gift Gallery opens for the holiday season at 1 p.m. Sunday. Shoppers on the hunt for unique and unusual artisan-crafted items for Christmas this year can talk to several of the artists whose works are original and handcrafted in the area.
“Stop by for some great conversation and to ask the artists any questions on Sunday afternoon,” said gallery volunteer Barbara Fulton. Visit the Holiday Gift Gallery at the Multi Arts Center, 1001 South Duck, for original works by local artists.
The gift gallery is open through Dec. 29, with hours Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
“We are ecstatic to have so many great offerings at the holiday gallery this year. We have gifts for children, family, friends and just about anybody on your Christmas shopping list,” said Mo Wassell, Multi Arts Center gallery chair.
More than 50 artists from Stillwater and the surrounding area are represented in the Christmas gift gallery this year, said board member Jacqui Savage.
“Art selections feature clay and glass items, including pots, dishes, jewelry and decorative pieces,” Savage said.
Drawings, paintings, photographs and wall hangings of a variety of subjects are available. Other art forms include fiber arts such as crocheted hats and tie-dyed scarves, plus decorated gourds and more.
There are many unique cards, and ornaments along with soaps and potpourri.
Gift certificates are also available for purchase this year, both for gift gallery purchases and classes and workshops at Multi Arts Center.
For the first time, the gallery is offering special gift wrapping as a fundraiser for Multi Arts Center. The wrapping and tags are specially designed by artists at the center.
The Multi Arts Center is a community arts center that fosters a creative environment to engage the community in the arts through classes, exhibits and art experiences.
