Voter registration deadline looms

STILLWATER, Okla. — There are two days left to register to vote and be able to cast a ballot in the Nov. 6 election. The deadline is Friday.

The Payne County Election Board is in room 207 of the County Administration Building, 315 W. 6th Ave. The election board is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

The last day to apply for absentee voting is Oct. 31. The periods for in-person absentee voting (also called early voting) are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 2, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 3 and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 5.

Absentee voters can mail in their ballots, with the ballots due by election day at 5 p.m.
