OSBI investigating death of Yale jail inmate

YALE, Okla. — Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents are investigating the death of a Yale jail inmate who was found hanged in his cell, police said.

Casey Dillingham, 23, was found hanging in his cell at 2:59 a.m. Friday, according to a Yale Police Department statement. Dillingham was alone in his cell, tied his pants to the door and was found hanged, police said. Dillingham was being held for public intoxication.

A detention officer and a police officer attempted to revive Dillingham until the Yale EMS arrived, police said. He was transported to the Cushing Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
