Child injured running across road

STILLWATER, Okla. — A 6-year-old girl was flown to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa after getting struck by a vehicle in Cushing Monday.

According to a report by the Department of Public Safety, the Cushing girl was running across Grand Staff Road when she was struck by a pickup.

She was admitted to the hospital in stable condition with head, trunk internal, arm and leg injuries.

Investigating officers cited the cause of the accident as pedestrian action. The driver and passenger of the pickup were not injured.
