Relief fund launched to help Red Dirt musicians

STILLWATER, Okla. — After several years, an idea to help Red Dirt musicians has become reality.

The Red Dirt Relief Fund was introduced today to local media and musicians. According to a press release, the fund was established to "provide a safety net of critical assistance to Red Dirt music people in times of need."

The fund is available to assist musicians who have been performing for at least 5 years. Grants in the amount of $2000 are available annually and $5000 is available in a lifetime.
