Two Cushing Wal-Mart employees accused of embezzlement

CUSHING, Okla. — Two Wal-Mart nightshift employees have been arrested by Cushing police following an embezzlement investigation.

They are accused of stealing more than $10,000 in video games, movies and electronics from the store.

Cushing police spoke with a Wal-Mart asset protection officer who advised them he had received information regarding an employee trying to sell movies that had not yet been released.

The asset protection officer told police this had prompted an internal investigation resulting in the two suspects — an assistant manager and a support manager at the Cushing Wal-Mart on Main Street.

The two suspects are currently in Payne County Jail awaiting charges.
