Cushing man dies in fatal crash on State Highway 33

STILLWATER, Okla. — A 41-year old Cushing man died in a single-vehicle accident at 12:31 p.m. Monday approximately 4 miles east of Cushing on State Highway 33, according to a report filed by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Anthony Harper.

James Timothy Wiley was driving a 1998 truck west on Highway 33 when his vehicle left the roadway, struck two trees, landed in a ravine and caught fire, according to Harper’s report.

Wiley was pinned in the vehicle for approximately 21⁄2 hours.

He sustained massive injuries in the wreck. His body was taken to the Oklahoma Medical Examiners Office, according to the report.
