Stillwater school board to seek public comment on upcoming building projects

STILLWATER, Okla. — Members of the public are invited to comment on plans for two upcoming building projects at the Stillwater Board of Education meeting Tuesday.

The board will hold its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the district’s administration building, 314 S. Lewis St.

During the meeting, the board will seek public comment on designs for two new elementary schools that will replace Will Rogers Elementary and Highland Park Elementary. The meeting agenda includes a designated public comment time immediately following the district’s architect update.

The construction projects are being funded by money raised through a $61.5 million bond package approved by Stillwater voters earlier this year. District officials hope to be able to move into the new schools over the 2012 winter break.
