Oklahoma State University student arraigned in court for sex crimes

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State University student Nathan Cochran appeared in Payne County Court Thursday afternoon via a video link from the Payne County Jail.

Cochran, 22, is charged with three counts of sexual battery.

Assistant District Attorney Jill Tontz and Cochran's lawyer announced they have agreed to a bond reduction hearing. Special Judge R.L Hert set the hearing for 1:30 p.m. Dec. 19.

Cochran was asked by Hert if the information filed in the court's records is correct. Cochran, calling the judge "sir" after every sentence, said his middle name "Michael" was misspelled.

Cochran said he could not confirm his address listed on the information as he said he is living with his parents and they recently moved.

“I love the high energy stuff,” he said. “Even though it’s country, being able to rock it up, distorted guitars and just seeing the crowd, feeding off of that.”
