Oklahoma State University sues Cowboy Athletics, Inc. for drain pipe damages

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State University is suing nonprofit fundraiser Cowboy Athletics, Inc. for causing damages to Boone Pickens stadium.

The university claims Cowboy Athletics, Inc., was responsible for renovations at the stadium that were improperly done, leading to breaks in the drain pipe system, court records show. The damage, discovered in March 2011, forced the football team to relocate to another facility while the stadium was repaired.

Also being sued are various contractors who completed the renovations.

The school is asking for more than $75,000 in damages and a jury trial.
