STILLWATER, Okla. — Stillwater police released a video Friday of former Oklahoma State University wide receiver Justin Blackmon as he is being processed into the municipal jail and waiting for the results of breathalyzer test.

The Jacksonville Jaguars first-round draft pick was arrested at approximately 3 a.m. Sunday after Stillwater police spotted a white sport utility vehicle driving left of center at a speed of 60 mph in a 35-mph zone, the arresting officer reported.

According to a police affidavit, the SUV turned north on Perkins Road and twice crossed into southbound lanes. The SUV didn’t immediately stop when the officer turned on his emergency lights and siren. It turned west at McElroy Road before stopping in a convenience store parking lot.

The affidavit said Blackmon’s eyes were watery and red, his speech slurred and movements were lethargic and unsteady.

“Justin was argumentative and stated, ‘I just flew in, I don’t know why you’re harassing me,’” the officer wrote. Blackmon failed a field sobriety test.

In the police video, Blackmon is wearing a white Los Angeles Lakers basketball jersey bearing Kobe Bryant’s name and number, pants and athletic shoes. He cooperates with officers, admits he has been drinking and submits to a breathalyzer test after an officer explains the consequences of either taking the test or refusing it.

He shrugs his shoulders and turns his hands upward on his lap when an officer tells him his blood-alcohol level is 0.24 and 0.26, more than double the legal limit.

In a Jacksonville, Fla., news conference on Wednesday, Blackmon apologized for his “poor judgment,” vowed to learn and grow from his latest alcohol-related arrest. He insisted he doesn’t have a drinking problem, but swore off alcohol for now.

Blackmon pleaded not guilty. He is free after posting $1,000 bail. His next court date is July 24 — three days before the start of Jacksonville’s training camp.
