STILLWATER, Okla. —
New turf is coming to Oklahoma State University’s Boone Pickens Stadium.
The athletic department has selected Astroturf for the new grass-like substance on the floor of Pickens Stadium. Installation of the new 76,000 square foot AstroTurf 3D field is scheduled to start May 12. Once the project is under way, OSU fans can watch the installation through live feeds on AstroTurf’s website — www.astroturf.com.
It’s the same product AstroTurf installed a year ago on two fields at the Sherman E. Smith Training Center.
Oklahoma State University athletic director Mike Holder said, “Our players, coaches and staff have been extremely satisfied with our AstroTurf fields at the Sherman Smith Center. When it came time to replace the turf at Boone Pickens Stadium, we diced to stick with AstroTurf.”
