Want to find out how your daughter can build character and skills for success in the real world? Where she can discover the fun, friendship and power of girls together through the many enriching experiences that are designed to help her grow courageous and strong?

She can do all this through Girl Scouts. To find out about the many life changing experiences your daughter can have in Girl Scouts attend the rally that will be held in Hillcrest Baptist Church, 902 N. Washington, Aug. 30, 6-8 p.m. The rally will be a come and go event with information sessions on the half hour.

Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place and is committed to ensuring that all girls have the opportunity to experience everything Girl Scouts has to offer.

In order for the Girl Scout program to be successful, adult volunteers are crucial. Why should you be a Girl Scout volunteer? Because our volunteers all say they love it – they love spending time with the girls, guiding them into valuable learning experiences, seeing the girls develop and grow and having fun.

Volunteer positions are available to fit all schedules including leading a troop on a regular basis, coordinating a one-time program or whatever fits in your schedule. The Girl Scout organization provides free, flexible volunteer training, a strong support system, the chance to spend quality time with your daughter and her friends and the chance to make new adult friends.
