Geneva Alice (Thurman) Wilson

— Geneva Alice (Thurman) Wilson a longtime Yale resident passed away on Dec. 29, 2013 in the Stillwater Medical Center at the age of 96 years.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale and will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday in the Fellowship Baptist Church in Yale with Brother Mich Dershem officiating, burial will follow at the Lawson Cemetery, Yale.

Geneva was the daughter of Oscar and Arminta (Rusco) Thurman. Geneva was born on Feb. 1, 1917, in Olive.  Geneva was married to Jessie Wilson on Nov. 14, 1931, in Stillwater.

Geneva is survived by two daughters: Betty McKnight of Yale and Barbara Pace of Stillwater; one sister: Mildred Atkinson of Canyon City, Colo., 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 52 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two sons, Thurman Wilson and Curtis Wilson; one daughter, Lois Walton; four grandchildren: Danny Wilson, Sammy Wilson, Casey Neal Haddock and Stocker baby; two brothers: Jack Thurman, and Kenneth Thurman; and three sisters, Deloris Cravens, Loretta Lickliter and Faye Wilson.
