Bette Arnhart went peacefully to be with our Lord on Nov. 19, 2013. She was born Bette Lou Pritchett in Sedalia, Mo., on Oct. 28, 1925, to Nova and Grace (Canady) Pritchett. Bette married Robert Arnhart on Jan. 3, 1946, and they were married 54 years before his death in 2000.
Bob and Bette moved their family to Stillwater in 1956 and made it their home for 50 years.
Bette worked for Stillwater Medical Center for 20 years with her last position being that of business office manager.
Bette loved to shop, hunt for antiques and spend time with her husband and family.
Bette was a special lady that had a smile and a kind word for everyone she knew or met and could always make you feel at home.
Bette was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert C. Arnhart of Stillwater; and sister, Jetta Farthing of Oklahoma City.
She is survived by two children, Linda Kanski and husband Dale of Quincy, Calif., Don Arnhart and wife Debbie of Choctaw; five grandchildren, John Arnhart of Edmond, Heather Arnhart of Oklahoma City, Terinda Schroeder of Stillwater, Rhonda Otto of Phoenix, Ariz., Lorri Namin of San Diego, Calif.; seven great-grandchildren, Theron Schroeder-Longan, Riley Namin, Jessica VanGilder, Jacob VanGilder, Anna Arnhart, Tyler Arnhart and Cassie Arnhart.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
