F.W. “Dutch” Bellinghausen, 93, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, in Guthrie. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday Dec. 29, 2013, at Strode Funeral Home Chapel, Stillwater. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at 1 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater with Father Ken Harder officiating.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Dutch was born on Aug. 2, 1920, to William P. and Teresa Larchey Bellinghausen in Ponca City.
He served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II from 1942 to 1946.
After the war, he returned to Oklahoma A&M College where he earned a bachelor’s of science in horticulture in 1948.
He was a member of the Golden K Kiwanis, the Oklahoma Horticulture Society and the Knights of Columbus where he achieved the rank of 4th degree Knight.
Dutch is preceded in death by his parents, William and Teresa; brother, Joe Bellinghausen; and sister, Marie Kraft.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Margaret of Guthrie; three daughters, Margaret Spillers of Tulsa, Susan Callison-Fender (Ronnie) of Dallas, Texas, and Elizabeth Webb (Rick) of Edmond; son, Ronald Bellinghausen (Kim) of Matthews, N.C.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
